Isla Java Coffee Company is a family owned business dedicated to the best customer experience in roasted coffee. Back at the dawn of the Web we were in the information technology business as Web e-Commerce consultants helping companies small and large get their businesses online.
Working in the Internet biz we had close proximity to at least 2 of the large chain coffee companies and had our first taste of specialty coffee. Little did we know that specialty coffee was about to change our lives forever. Prior to that coffee was something found in a red or blue can in the supermarket we didn't know good from bad, coffee was coffee, right? Wrong! In pursuit of an always better cup we eventually began roasting our own at home, sourcing green coffee beans (unroasted) from all over the world. Each roast got better, and we also made some mistakes along the way and learned what not to do: burnt is not a roast style :(
Eventually at the urgings of friends, and co-workers we conceived Isla Java Coffee Company in 2002. Three worn out home roaster machines later and a leap of faith, it eventually became who we are today: Purveyors of some of the world's finest coffees, artisan blended, craft roasted, raising the bar on your coffee experience, one roast at a time.
